Hattie was a big black hen.

One morning she looked up and said

"Goodness gracious me!

I can see a nose in the bushes!"

海蒂是一只黑母鸡。

"Good grief!" said the goose.

"Well well!" said the pig.

白鹅说：“天哪！”

And she flew very quickly into a nearby tree.

母鸡Hattie说：

一个身体，四条腿，还有一条尾巴！

是狐狸！是狐狸！”

她飞快地钻进附近的树里。

"Oh, no!" said the goose.

"Dear me!" said the pig

"Oh, dear?" said the sheep.

"Oh, help?" said the horse.

马儿说：“救命！”

But the cow said,"Moo!"

so loudly

that the fox was frightened and ran away.

不过，奶牛大叫“哞——”

奶牛的叫声太吓人了，

吓得狐狸拔腿就跑。

And they were all so surprised

that none of them said anything

for a very long time.
